  <p>Information: Shirley Ralph Pickens, 66, of Parkersburg, died Tuesday at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, following a long illness.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Sam and Bertha Godbey Pickens. He was retired from Johns Manville, was a member of the Lightner Memorial Church, Parkersburg, and a World War II veteran.  Surviving are his wife, Ruby Pickens; three step-daughters, Mrs. Helen Sams of Vienna, Mrs. Laura Walker of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Nancy Schofield of St. Marys; two brothers, Gus Pickens of Sandyville, and Darrell Pickens of Given; five sisters, Mrs. Thelma Haynes of Ripley, Mrs. Belma Board of Gay, Mrs. Audrie King of Evans, Mrs. Naomi Flesher of Fairplain, and Mrs. Parmalee Edens of St. Albans; 11 step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Services were Friday, 2 p.m. at the Parsons Funeral Home Chapel, Ripley, with the Rev. Clarence Eden officiating.  Burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.</p>
