Information: LONG-TIME RIPLEY RESIDENT DIES AFTER LENGTHY ILLNESS - Mrs. Vaun Pfost, 75, of Ripley, died Monday in Jackson General Hospital following a long illness. She was the widow of W. Marion Pfost, prominent Ripley businessman who was president of the Bank of Ripley at the time of his death. Mrs. Pfost was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was born Nov. 2, 1900, in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Otmer and Neva Hendershot Young. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Betty Ann) Parsons of Ripley and Mrs. Harry (Flora Jean) Boggs of Keyser; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Epworth United Methodist Chrch in Ripley with the Rev. John Holbert officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before service. Vail Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
