  <p>Information: Joseph F. (Joe) Pfost, 73, Hastings, MN, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994, in Prescott WI, after a short illness.  He was a native of Ripley, son of the late H. F. and Bess Pfost.  He was a mechanical engineer.  He was a graduate of Greenbrier Military School and University of Minnesota. He also attended West Virginia University and University of Alabama.  He was a captain in the U. S. Air Force during World War II, serving in the European Theatre.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Arlin Pfost and son, J. F. Pfost, Jr.  Surviving:  daughters, Chris Coughlin, Tampa FL and Polly Pfost, St. Paul, Minnesota; three granddaughters; brothers, Francis, Dunedin FL, John of Charleston.  Service was Tuesday in Hastings.  Memorials to the Arthritis Association may be sent to Polly Pfost, 632 S. Smelling Ave.. Apt. 3, St. Paul, MN 55116.</p>
