Information: Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel J. Perry, 40 year old wife of E. M. Perry of Sandyville, were held from the Independence church Tuesday afternoon with the rev. James Anguish officiating and the burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Perry died at her home Saturday after a ten day illness from heart disease. She was born on July 18, 1909 in Roane County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George White of Clendenin. She married Mr. Perry on December 30, 1925. Survivors in addition to he husband are four sons, Jackie Benton and Thomas Dean of Sandyville, Ray Edward of Amce and James with the US Army; three daughters, Opal Fay, Ruby Irene and Mrs. Ollie Stone, all of Clendenin; six sisters (only five listed), Mrs. Lucy Mullins of Ravenswood, Mrs. Opal Streckler of Beckley, Mrs. Ocie Jerrold, Mrs. Dorothy Mullins and Mrs. Mae Tyree, all of Clendenin; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George White of Clendenin, and two grandchildren.
