Information: Gertrude I. Perdew, 58, of Parkersburg, formerly of Ripley, died Friday evening, July 22, 1988, at the Camden Clark Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.  She was born in Schley, Ohio, a daughter of the late John and Bertha E. Best Hearn.  She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Ripley.  She was a 1948 graduate of Newport High School.  She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Fred D. Perdew; sons, Thomas E. of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and John F. of Mayo, Fla.; daughters, Charlene A. Greathouse of Little Hocking, Ohio, Marlene K. Heilman of Ripley, Marsha D. Conrad of Forest City, N.C., Beverly J. Dotson of Bellview, Rose Marie Perdew and Anne Beth Perdew, both at home; brothers, Clyde Hearn of Marietta, Ohio, James Hearn of Elyria, Ohio, and John Elson Hearn of Marietta, Ohio; sisters, Helen M. Cozzens of Lowell, Ohio, Cleda Bond of Vermillion, Ohio, Rosalie Crock of Grafton, Ohio, and Sue Flowers of Grove City, Ohio; 10 grandchildren.  Services were Monday at the Vaugh Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marvin Dennis officiating.  Burial was in the Tunnel Cemetery, Route 550, Tunnel, Ohio.
