Information: Wallace Pearson, 79, of South Charleston, formerly of Dunbar, died Thursday, October 31, 2002, in Thomas Memorial Hospital. He was owner of Pearson Appraisal Service, Dunbar Laundromat and Dunbar Taxi. Wallace was a former Dunbar Municipal Judge and served as Dunbar Building Inspector, Dunbar City Clerk, and served on the Dunbar City Council. He was a former deacon of the Dunbar First Baptist Church and a present member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was past president of the Goshen Cemetery Association. He is survived by his wife, Edna Spoon Pearson; son, the Rev. James Pearson of Ansonia, Conn.; daughter, Karen Setterstrom of St. Albans; step-daughters, Lynda Happe of South Charleston and Patsy Williams of Chester VA; brother, Wesley Pearson of Ripley; sister, Faye Fisher of Kenna; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. His wife, Geraldine F. Pearson, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Sunday, November 3, 2002, at Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar, with the Rev. Joe E. Wolfe officiating. Burial in Goshen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Bethel Baptist Church, South Charleston, or Grasslick Baptist Church Building Fund, Kenna.
