Information: Miss Florinda L. Wandling was born February 16, 1876, and was united in marriage to Waitman T. Paxton, June 11, 1911, and departed this life August 17, 1922, in the Staats Hospital at Charleston, where she had gone to undergo an operation for ulcer of the stomach. She was operated on the 15th and went through the operation nicely and her condition was good considering the seriousness of the operation. On the morning of the 17th she began to look weary, her vitality seemed to be going and she kept growing worse, while everything was being done that loving hands and medical aid could do. At 7:30 that evening she fell asleep to awake in that home where there will be no more sickness, pain and death, but all will be joy and happiness. Florinda was converted about twenty years ago and has lived a christian life ever since. She joined the U. B. Church and was a faithful worker in all religious worship. She was a kind companion, a loving mother and a devoted sister. She will be greatly missed in her home and community. She leaves to mourn their loss, husband, one daughter, three sisters, six brothers and a host of friends, but their loss is heaven's gain. Funeral services were held by Rev. J. W. Garrison on the 19th at one o'clock at Emma Chapel, and the body laid to rest in the cemetery to await the resurrection. X.
