Information: JACKSON BOY IS KILLED BY OWN AUTO RIPLEY--Roy Lee Patterson, 17, of Cottageville, Jackson County, was killed early Saturday in a freak automobile accident on a secondary road near here. Attendants of Casto Funeral Home at Evans gave this account:  The youth and his 20 year old brother, Holly Ray, got out of their car to inspect it after it apparently developed engine trouble.  But the car began rolling back down a steep grade.  The brothers ran after it.  Suddenly it made a quick turn, knocked down the younger brother and ran over him. Funeral home attendants said they had to use a jack to get the boy from under the automobile. Other survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Patterson of Cottageville; five other brothers, Junior Edward, Otho Carl, Glen Ramon and Charles Richard, all of Cottageville, and Clifford Eugene of California; three sisters, Miss Glenda Rose Patterson, at home, Mrs.  Geneva Durst of Mason and Mrs. Madeline Brotherton of Millwood; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Bower of Mason. Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Casto Funeral Home at Evans with Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial will be in Blaine Memorial Cemetery at Cottageville.  The body will be taken from the funeral home to the home today and will be returned to the funeral home one hour before the service.
