  <p>Information: James Brown Patterson, 55, of Racine, OH, died January 31 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Pomeroy, OH after a long illness.  He was born in Great Bend, OH, the son of the late J. B. ""Bob"" Patterson and Dessie Archer Patterson.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a self employed carpenter.  He was a protestant.  He is survived by two sons, James Brent of New York, NY and Terry Scott of North Lawrence, OH; four sisters, Susie Leep of Cincinnati, Lucy Rexroat of Norwood, OH, Azelline Smith of Parkersburg and Ann Boso of Portland, OH; one brother Gilbert Patterson of Portland; one grandson, Coty Joel Patterson; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.  Graveside services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Wilding Cemetery with the Rev. Kenny Baker officiating.  Straight-Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.</p>
