Information: Edwin Richard (Jack) Patterson, 56, of Ravenswood, was dead on arrival at Jackson General Hospital Saturday after suffering an apparent heart attack.  Born at Wilding, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Frances Richards Patterson.  He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the VFW Post in Ravenswood, and was employed at the Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Co. for the past 15 years.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Wanda Newberry Patterson; two sons, Edwin, Jr. and Michael A., both at home; five sisters, Mrs. Chloe Finch of New Brighton, Pa., Mrs. Edith Stewart, Mrs. Elva Staats, and Mrs. Evelyn Staats, all of Ripley and Mrs. Emmojean Snodgrass of Malta, O.; two brothers, Clyde of Gay and John of Ravenswood.  Funeral services were held Tuesday at the North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood with the Rev. Robert Holland officiating.  Burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery.  Straigh-Tucker Funeral Home in Ravenswood was in charge of arrangements.
