Information: MAN DIES OF GUNSHOT WOUNDS - Clifford E. Patterson, 33, of Mulberry Street, Ravenswood, was found dead Sunday in his home, the apparent victim of self-inflicted gunshot wounds.  Police said Patterson was found by a sister at 11 a.m. and had been shot in the chest with a .22-calibre pistol.  A coroner's report said Patterson had been dead about 12 hours.  Police are investigating the incident.  He was born in Cottageville, the son of the late Edward R. Patterson and is survived by his mother, Ione Boyer Patterson.  His wife, Sharon June Patterson, preceded him in death.  He was a member of the Brotherhood Maintenance of Way No. 499 and a track foreman at the B & O Ravenswood Station.  He served in the Marines for four years.  Survivors are:  sisters, Mrs. Ann Brotherton of Ravenswood, Mrs. Geneva Durst of Leon, and Miss Glenva Patterson of Cottageville; brothers include Otho Patterson of Huntington, Glen of Cattletsburg, Ky., Holly from Ravenswood, and Junior Edward of Cottageville.  Roy Lee and Charles Richard Patterson preceded him in death.  Services were Tuesday at Casto Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Sayre and Rev. William Sullivan officiating.  Burial was in Blaine Memorial Cemetery at Cottageville.
