  <p>Information: Thursday, June 20th--It has been clear up until about noon and then clouded up and about dark it sprinkled rain some and is still thick and cloudy.  Mr. Washington Parsons died this morning about 5 o&#39;clock after a right smart illness.  He professed religion Monday morning prior to his death.  Friday, June 21st--It has been cloudy about all day and several showers but none to do us any good.  This morning I went over to Mr. Parsons to his funeral and from there down to the Bowles Church to where he was buried about two o&#39;clock.  Moss preached his funeral.         Note:  The record of this death is from the Clinton A. Wolfe Journal.  Clinton lived on Wolfe Creek, near Given, and recorded weather and events of the area.  Most of the deaths are not on record at the courthouse.  This one is recorded and shows cause of death as flu of bowles.</p>
