  <p>Information: Virgil Leon Parsons, 56, of Gay, departed this life Sunday, February 24, 2002, at home, following a short illness.  He was born January 15, 1946, a son of Annabelle Parsons and the late Estel ""Buck"" Rhodes.  He was a Baptist by faith. He is survived by his mother; his wife, Ella Parsons; four son, Virgil Parsons II, at home, Jimmy Parsons of Ravenswod, Nathan Miller of Nelsonville OH, and David Hudnell of Albany OH; three daughters, Mary Parsons of Lincolnton NC, Tina Hudnell Morris and husband, Greg, of Columbus OH, and Andrea Angie Barnhouse and husband, David, of Cherryville NC; grandchildren, Greg Morris, Jr. and Joseph Morris, both of Columbus OH, Christopher and Larry Barnhouse, both of Cherryville NC, Emily Morris of Columbus OH, and Destiny Allen, Sabrina Story and Heather of NC; brothers, Basil Fields of Athens OH, and Lester Fields of Albany Oh; sisters, Helen Lytel of Newark OH, Carolyn Davis of Kenna, Charlotte Fields of Wellston OH, and Shirley Gravely of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret.  Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, February 27) at 1:00 p.m. at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley, with the Rev. Sinnette Summers officiating.  Burial will be at the Jordan Cemetery in Advent, Jackson County.  Friends may call today from 10 a.m. till time of service.</p>
