  <p>Information: MELBOURNE FL - Roger Eugene Parsons, 73, of Melbourne FL, departed this world on September 12, 2011.  He was born in Kentuck to Buster E. and Iva (Hamon) Parsons.  Roger graduated from West Virginia Institute of Technology and received a degree in Electrical Engineering.  He was married to Pearl (Spinks), his best friend and high school sweetheart, for 54 years.  As well as a 36-year career in satellite communications, Roger and his family found time to operate a cattle farm and build and operate a 16 lane bowling center while living in Oakland MD.  Surviving are his three sons and a daughter, Dean and Cheryl of St. Port John&#39;s,  David and Kim of Kennesaw GA, Gregory and Nicqueleen of West Melbourne FL and Diane and John Lechmanik of Arlington VA.  Roger also leaves behind a special grandchild they helped raise, Brandilyn (Parsons) Collins of Washington Courthouse OH; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge.  Service will be held at 10 am Friday.</p>
