Information: Robert Clair Parsons, 36 year old, Branch Manager for the Lumberman's Mutual Insurance Company at Charleston, died Thursday, October 16, 1969, at Thomas Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was born April 1, 1933, a son of George Clair and Esta Louise Parsons. A life long resident of Charleston he was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School where during his senior year in 1950, he was voted honorary captain of the football team and ""Best Sport"" of the year. He also graduated from Morris Harvey College and attended Washington and Lee University. Mr. Parsons held memberships in the Kanawha County Club and the Transportation Club of Kanawha Valley. Surviving are his widow, Marilyn Akers Parsons; son, Robert Michael at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. George C. Parsons of Charleston; sister, Mrs. Robert Mundy of Charleston; and brothers, Billy Gene of Philadelphia, Pa., and Michael Allen of Charleston. His parents were formerly from Jackson County and he had numerous relatives in the Kenna-Ripley area. Funeral and burial were in Charleston on Monday.
