Information: Rev. Paul Edward Parsons, 71, of Sandyville, died Thursday, June 28, 1990, at his home after a sudden illness. He was born March 19, 1919 in Jackson county, a son of the late Lon and Laura Sheets Parsons. He had pastored many churches in Jackson County and was a member of the Sandyville United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Sandyville VFW, Disabled American Veterans, a World War II veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He was manager of Carl E. Smith Service Station for 37 years. Surviving: wife, Geraldine; son, Eddie Ray Parsons of Sandyville; daughters, Joyce Drake of Mineral Wells and Connie Waskey of Cottageville; brother, Marcelene of Big Tyler Mountain; sisters, Ruth Blackwell of Charleston, Mary Kessel and Jessie Owens, both of Michigan, Myrtle Lee Abels of Long Bottom, Ohio, Virginia Pickens of Reedy, Lurlene Evans of Vienna and Lottie Whited of Belpre; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Sandyville United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Aplin Cemetery. Friends may call at Vail Funeral Home after 2:00 p. m. Saturday.
