Information: Mrs. Mary Catharine Parsons, daughter of McCommas Casto and wife, was born January 29, A.D. 1875, was united in marriage to Weston Parsons, September 1, 1898, and departed this life February 19, 1902, aged 27 years and 21 days.  She professed faith in Christ when 17 years of age, joined the United Brethren church in Christ and lived a consistent christian life till she was called from labor to reward. Her last words to her husband when entering the valley of the shadow of death were, ""I am better off"".  She leaves a disconsolate husband, a loving father, an affectionate mother, also a number of brothers and sisters with a large circle of friends to mourn her loss.  Yet their loss is her eternal gain, for Christ has said, ""Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord"".  Yea saith the Spirit, they rest from their labors, and their works do follow them.  Her funeral was preached February 20 at 11 o'clock a.m. to a large congregation draped in mourning by H. B. B. Amos, pastor of Goldtown circuit of the U. B. church, after which her body was laid away to await the resurrection morn.  Our sympathies and prayers linger with the husband, father, mother, sisters, brothers, and bereaved friends of the departed one.    H.
