Information: Mamie Naomi Casto Parsons, 89, was born Dec. 30, 1916, at Belgrove, WV., and she went to be with her Lord Feb. 8, 2006. She was the daughter of the late Ike and Minnie Casto. She was a founding member of Bethel Bible Church. Her late husband, Richard Parsons and one daughter, Phyllis Jean Fisher, preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and daughter, four brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving are her sons, Sattis Parsons of Kenna and Starling Parsons; her daughter, Patsy Jane Hartley of Winston-Saem, NC.; six grandsons. Reverend S.R. Parsons, Jr. of Ripley, Terry Parsons of Leroy, Jeff Parsons of Kanawha City, Todd Parsons, of North Carolina, Chris Fisher of Tennessee, and Chuck Fisher of Virginia; two ganddaughters, Traci Adkins of Ripley and Wendy Sharpes of Fancy Gap, VA.; ten great-grandchildren, Michelle Cline, J.R. Parsons, Bobby Parsons, Nicholas Parsons, Beth Parsons, Dalton Adkins, Mark Parsons, Emily Sharpes, Brianna Sharpes, and Hannah Parsons; six great-great-grandchildren, Christian Cline, Sofie Cline, Isaac Parsons, Olivia Parsons, Dakota Parsons and Vivian Vaughan; two sisters, Dolly Belle Parsons of Cottageville and Georgie Casto of Kentuck; one brother, Fred Casto of Charleston, and special caregivers, Elizabeth Southall, Phyllis Brown, and Paul Casto. Funeral service will be Sunday, Feb 12, at 2 p.m. at the Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Reverend S.R. Parsons, Jr. officiating Burial will be in the Fairplain Cemetery, Fairplain. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home is serving the amily.
