  <p>Information: Miss Verna Parsons died at her home near Given, March 13, of Brights disease, at the age of 49.  Her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Parsons, are still living.  She leaves to mourn their loss a large family of brothers and sisters:  T. W. Parsons and Mrs. Chime Donelly of Charleston, Elsworth Parsons and Mrs. Stella Rollins of Mt. Tell, Mrs. M. U. Hysell of Ripley, Mrs. Ida Brown and Perry Parsons of Given, L. E. Parsons of Dunbar and O. O. Parsons of Fairplain.  She was a life long christian and a member of the U. B. Church.  The funeral was preached by the Rev. Lloyd Garrison at the Fairview church after which she was laid to rest in the Fairview cemetery.   (from the Betty Kessel McIntyre collection)</p>
