  <p>Information: Lucille E. Parsons, 84, of Given, departed this life Friday, July 25, 2002, at CAMC Memorial Division.  She was born February 19, 1918, in South Charleston WV, a daughter of the late Arlie W. and Pearl Waldon Ellis.  She was retired from the Jackson County Board of Education and served as a cook at Ripley Middle School.  She was a former member of the Given Ladies Aid, a homemaker and faithful member of the Parchment Chapel Church.  Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Chester O. Parsons; sons, Charles E. Parsons of Alum Creek, and Glen A. (Deloris) Parsons of Sandyville; daughters, Martha Jo (Jim) Birthisel of Given, and Joy (Dempsey) Skeens of Given; sister, Virginia Hunt of Knoxville TN; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard and a sister, Arlie Rose.  Services were held Sunday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans WV, with Gary Hill officiating.  Burial in the Given Cemetery.</p>
