  <p>Information:      Leona Jane Parsons, 77, of Nitro, passed away Monday, June 29, 2009, at Thomas Memoria Hospital, fllowng a brief illness.  She was born October 11, 1931, a daughter of the late Dan and Nettie Casto Parsons.  She was a retired food service worker from Chrleston Area Medical Center, Women&#39;s and Children&#39;s Division.   She was a member of the Stonelick Church in Kenna.  Survivors include sister, Mae Huffmn; niece Sherri Cheak (Herbert) of Cross Lanes; nephew, Bobbie Parsons (Linda) of Ripley; and great-nephews, Tim and Rick Parsons of Ripley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi Tolley and a brother, Clovis l. ""Chubby"" Parsons.  Funeral services were held Thursday, July 2, at 2 p.m., a Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with pastor William Maires officiating. Interment followed at the Parsons family cemetery at Kenna.  Friends called at the funeral home one hour prior to service. </p>
