Information: Mr. Hiram Parsons, 88, G. A. R. veteran, died at 12:40p.m. Thursday at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Addie Parsons, on Parchment.  His death was due to infirmities incident to old age.  He is survived by three sons and one daughter, Joseph Parsons and Spicer Parsons of Illinois, James Parsons of Huntington, Mrs. John Frey of Foster Chapel, and one brother who resides in Columbus, Ohio.  The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon, Rev. E. B. Webster of the United Brethren Church officiating.  Interment at Mt. Moriah.  (6 Feb 1914, Mountaineer)   Hiram Parsons, born 8 December 1825, died 5 February 1914, aged 88 years, 1 month and 27 days.  He was united in marriage with Letitia Morrison about 1843.  There were born to this union five sons and four daughters.  Three sons and one daughter survive:  J. M. Parsons of Huntington, J. A. Parsons and F. S. Parsons of Noble, Illinois, and Mrs. Minnie Frey of Jackson County.  Mr. Parsons was converted 35 years ago in a meeting held by Rev. J. W.
