Information:                   Funeral services for George W. Parsons, 82, who died at his home near Sissonville on Saturday morning, were held from the Sun Light Baptist Church Sunday afternoon and the body was taken to the Jarrett Cemetery for burial.  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Maggie Parsons; one son, James W. Parsons of Sissonville RFD; two sisters, Mrs. Cynthia Jordan of Ripley and Mrs. Bell Ashby of Romance; four brothers, Perry, Elkanah, both of Charleston, and Joseph and John Parsons, both of Kenna; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)
