Information: RIPLEY VETERAN DIES IN HOSPITAL - Gene Parsons, World War II veteran of Ripley, died at the Veterans Hospital in Clarksburg on Tuesday.  He had undergone lung operations there recently and his condition had been serious.  The body is being brought to the Parsons funeral home but no arrangements for the funeral and burial had been made at press time.  Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mary Hughes, of Ripley who was at the hospital when he died; two brothers, Major Marion Paul Parsons of Cocoa Beach, Florida, and Chapman Parsons of Worthington, Ohio, and a half-sister, Mrs. Nancy Parrish of Ripley.
