Information: Rollie Edward Allen, 78, of Ripley, died Sunday evening at the Jackson General Hospital here following an extended illness.  Mr. Allen was born in Leroy, a son of Benjamin and Alice Shaffer Allen.  He was a member of the Methodist Church and a retired farmer.  Surviving are his widow, Inez Allen; a daughter, Mrs. Lucy Taylor of Sandyville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) 2 p.m. at the Vail Funeral Home with the Rev. William Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Ravenswood Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Vail Funeral Home.
