  <p>Information: RIPLEY - Carl W. ""Joe"" Parsons, 91, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Jackson General Hospital.  He was born October 17, 1912, the son of the late Lloyd and Estella Skeens Parsons.  He was a glass worker with L.O.F.  He was also a Baptist by faith.  He is survived by two sons:  Jearl Parsons and Eric Parsons of Given; three daughters:  Jane Jividen and Shirley McMahon of Gallipolis, and Linda Sykes of Columbia MO; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  His wife, Bessie Parsons; daughter, Oreta Sargent; sister, Gaye Tackett; and one grandchild, Angela Sykes, preceded him in death.  Funeral service was held Monday, April 19, 2004, at the Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Reverend Jerry Sargent officiating.  Burial followed in the Fairplain Cemetery.  Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.</p>
