Information: The Rev. Belle D. Parsons, 88, of Kenna went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 27, 2012, at Eldercare of West Virginia following a long illness. She was born April 12, 1924, at Kentuck, a daughter of the late Archie and Elizabeth Casto Skeen. She was a homemaker and retired Pentecostal evangelist. She was a member of the Emma Chapel United Methodist Church at Liberty and the Kenna Grange. She helped lead lost souls to the Lord for over 40 years and raised three generations of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, George, ""Wint"" Parsons; a sister, Beulah Hickman; and a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Reta Gale Parsons. She is survived by one sister, Martha Boswell; four children, Gary Parsons of Charleston, Libby Parsons of Ripley, Mike (Michelle ) Clark of Winfield and Yvette (Wayne) Welling of Kenna; two grandchildren, J. R. Parsons of Ripley and Brandi (Randy) Nelson of South Charleston; nine great-grandchildren, Jeremy Welling, Jessica Welling, Logan Welling, Alyssa Welling, Jacob Clark, Dylan Parsons, Ryley Parsons, Sara Nelson and Katie Nelson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Emma Chapel United Methodist Church, Liberty, with Pastor Wayne Hooper officiating. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. (time of service) Tuesday at the church. A private burial will be Wednesday in the Given Cemetery.
