Information: Samuel F. Blair, 92, of 3703 Emerson Av., died yesterday morning at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Wood County, son of the late Hamilton E. and Louisa Jane Blair. He was a member of the Shepherd Chapel United Methodist Church and had lived in Parkersburg for the past 14 years. He had resided the greater part of his life in Jackson County. He was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics at Rockport. He was a retired school teacher with 46 years of service, having taught in Wirt, Jackson and Wood Counties. He is survived by four sons, Dr. Holmes Blair and E. Harold Blair both of Parkersburg, Rolla W. Blair of Vienna and Dr. F. L. Blair of Walker; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Isaacs of Alexandria, Va.; one brother, Charles O. Blair of Sandyville; four sisters, Mrs. Prudence Baxter of Rt. Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Nettie Beymer of Williamstown, Mrs. Carrie Friedlander of Parkersburg and Mrs. Ruby Emerick of Rockport; and 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Victoria Lockhart Blair in 1964 and by three brothers. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Leavitt Funeral Home where friends may call after noon today.
