  <p>Information: Dovie E. Parrish, 89, of Parkersburg, died Monday evening, Nov. 7, 1988, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, following an extended illness.  Mrs. Parrish was born in Ripley, a daughter of the late James Ulysses and Mary Belle Parsons Hinzman.  She was a United Methodist, a member of Parkersburg Chapter No. 14, Order of the Eastern Star, and Bethany Chapter No. 4, White Shrine of Jerusalem.  Surviving:  sons, Creed Parrish of Piketon, Ohio, Gerald E. Parrish of Lamirado, Calif., and James E. Parrish of Parkersburg; daughters, Melba I. Schutts of Salem, Va., Mary Ilene Parrish of Parkersburg, Imogene Chapman of Amma, Roane County, Patricia Batten of Hillcrest Heights, Md., Virginia Pierce of Parkersburg; brother, James Ernest Hinzman of Fort Myers, Fla.; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Parrish, in 1976; two sons and two sisters.  Services will be Thursday 2:30 at Vaughn Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Harold E. Wagner officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery North.</p>
