Information: SANDYHOOK KY - Gary Pierce Blair, 48, of Sandyhook KY, formerly of Ravenswood, went to be with the Lord unexpectantly Monday, December 25, 2006 at his home.  He was born April 1, 1958 in New Albany IN, a son of the late Phillip Blair and Sharon Blair of Ravenswood, who survives him.  He graduated from Ravenswood High School in 1976 and continued to play football at Fairmont State College.  He was currently working as a supervisor and trainer of guards at the Elliot County Correctional Center in Grayson KY.  Gary was very involved in the HOPE Baptist Church and his community.  He was best known for his pranks, laughter and love for others.      In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Carolyn Blair of Sandyhook; son, Phillip David of Sandyhook; brothers, Mark Blair and Mike Schnell of Ravenswood; uncle David Blair of Sandyhook and aunts, Phyllis Murphy of OH and Joyce Wight of Ravenswood.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Mary and Rudy Orth and father and mother-in-law, Hazel and Jessie Smith Young.  Services were held at Herald, Stewart and Hasley Chapel in West Liberty KY.  Burial followed at Elliot County Memorial Gardens in Sandyhook with Color Guard honors observed.
