Information: Lewis E. Palmer, 79, of Washington, W. Va., died Aug. 12, 1988, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg. He was born in Jackson County, the son of the late Samuel and Stella (Flynn) Palmer. He was educated in public schools in Jackson County and received a BS degree in electrical engineering from WVU. He was a charter member of the Washington Lions Club and was an active member of the Washington Community Building Association. He was a member of the Washington United Methodist Church, the Mid-Ohio Valley United Fund Board and Committees, the Little Kanawha Regional Council Board, the YMCA Board, and the farm bureau. He was a 4-H counselor and WV 4-H All-Star. He was associated with Union Insulating, ending in retirement in 1974. He was president of the GTE Sylvania Union Insulating Co. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha Kate Webb of Rome, Ga.; one daughter, Ann Flynn Page of North Hero, Vermont; and two grandchildren. Services were Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Robert E. Elmore officiating. Burial was in Ravenswood Cemetery.
