Information: Mrs. Elpha Vay Palmer, 84, of Sandyville, died Sunday, June 1, at home after a long illness.  She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church, Sandyville, ladies circle of the church and VFW Auxiliary.  Surviving:  sons,  Richard and Paul of Sandyville, Dale of Parkersburg and Charles of Germantown, Md.; daughters, Gladys Moore of Parkersburg, Roberta Kinney of Wheeling, Alta Eddy of Annapolis, Md., Dortha Palmer of Sandyville, and Jean Fauss of Mineral Wells; brother, Elmer Pursley of Leroy; sisters, Maysel Wilkinson of Leroy, Alta Summerville and Opal Hill, both of Parkersburg, Nola Bunner of Sandyville and Beulah Cain of Akron, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.  Service was Tuesday at Union Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ezra Higgins and the Rev. Jerry Eaton officiating.  Burial was in Mount Pisgah Cemetery, Wirt County.  Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, was in charge of arrangements.
