Information:      Earnest H. ""Ernie"" Palmer, age 72, of Proctor, WV, formerly of Jackson County, died February 21, 1995 at his residence.  He was born December 29, 1922 in Jackson County, the son of the late Clarlence Hamilton and Beatrice P. Noble Palmer.  He was a retired employee of the Ormet Corp., Hannibal, OH, was a member of the Sydneyville Methodist Church, and was a United States Costal Guard veteran of World War II.  He was also a member of the Earl Francis Post #3, American Legion, Moundsville, for ovr 47 years.  He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Gene, and Fred Palmer, and one sister, Edith Click.  Survivers include his wife, Mary Jane Meadows Palmer; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Shirley) Palmer of Proctor, Mrs. Wayne (Sharon) Kaufman of Moundsville, and Donna Proctor of New Martinsville; one brother, Carl Palmer of Chesapeake, OH; four sisters, Louise Hazel, Barberton, OH, Alice Bates, South Point, OH, Edra Ray, Huntington, and Frances Angus of Sandyville; three granddaughters, Cecilia and Jacquelyn Palmer, and Mandy Kaufman; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Palmer.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Friday, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. David Brookman officiating.  Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, New Martinsville.  The Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct Graveside Military Services.
