Information: Dr. F. L. Blair, a longtime Parkersburg physician and two-term member of the West Virginia Board of Regents, died Saturday afternoon at age 74 at Camden Clark Hospital in Parkersburg.  Blair was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Samuel Forrest and Victoria Lockhart Blair.  He attended Ravenswood High School.  Blair received his medical degree from the University of Louisville Medical School.  He also attended West Virginia University.  He served his medical internship at Louisville General Hospital.  Blair was a member of the Commercial Bank board of directors, Parkersburg Community College Advisory Board and Wood County Farm Bureau, Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, Parkersburg Masonic Lodge No. 169, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Bodies and the Nemesis Shrine.  During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.  He is survived by his wife, Eveline H. Salchli Blair; one son, David E. Blair of Arlington, TX; one daughter, Marie Blair Jackson of Walker; three grandchildren, Michelle and Todd Jackson of Walker and Eva Marie Blair of Arlington, TX; one brother, Rolla W. Blair of Coolville; one sister, Mary Blair Isaacs of Lexington, Ky.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. E. H. Blair of Parkersburg; two cousins who were raised with him, Gilbert and Harold Bennett; and 12 nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Holmes Blair and E. H. Blair; and one grandson.  Services were at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with the Rev. Charles Wilkinson and the Rev. Ruby Wilkinson officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
