Information:                 Two men were killed early Sunday when the truck in which they were riding crashed into a bank at Independence, Virginia, and both were instantly killed, Virginia officers said.  The men were Alfred Harrell Painter, 33, of Nitro, who was born and reared at Given, and Harold Dunlap, 41, of Dunbar.  Virginia State Trooper Ralph Webb said the accident happened about 3:30 Sunday when the lumber laden truck was rounding a curve on a steep hill.  Brake failure was the probable cause of the wreck.  Painter was a maintenance man for the Dunbar Flint Glass Company, and Dunlap formerly worked at the South Charleston plant of Carbide and Carbon Chemical Corp.                 Painter’s survivors are his wife, Helen Marie; parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Painter of Given; one daughter, Sandra Kay Painter; four sisters, Mrs. Delph Fisher and Mrs. Frank Bailey, of Liberty, Mrs. Clyde Casto of Confidence and Miss Madeline Painter of Charleston; and four brothers, Basil, Ben and S.
