Information: Joshua Sewell Owens, 75, of Grantsville, Calhoun County, died Monday morning at Calhoun General Hospital following a brief illness.  He was the father of Ottmer, Woodrow and J. S. Owens, all of Ravenswood.  Born in Gilmer County, he was a son of the late J. T. and Nancy Stout Owens.  He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Godfrey L. Cabot Inc., at Grantsville.  Survivors include his widow, Minnie F. Owens, three additional sons, George of Asheville, Ohio, Ronald and Charles both at home; seven daughters, Mrs. Vonda Wiedenhoft of Indiana, Mrs. Norma Godfrey, Mrs. Greta Richards, both of Grantsville, Mrs. Carolyn Preston, Belpre, Ohio, Mrs. Joyce Roberts of Parkersburg, Sharlene and Darlene both at home; one brother, Willis of Elizabeth; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Morrison and the Rev. Warder Stump Jr. officiating.  Burial was in the Nobe Chapel Church Cemetery at Nobe.
