Information: W. T. (Bill) Oldham, 89 of 130 Ridgeway Drive, Bridgeport, W. Va.; retired owner of Oldham Shoe Store in Clarksburg, died in a Clarksburg hospital June 15 following a brief illness. He was the last member of one of the pioneer families of Jackson County, having been born in Parchment Valley near Ripley on Oct. 6, 1875, a son of the late Captain Wm. Kemison and Elizabeth Smith Oldham. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Estelle Piper Oldham in 1964, a son, William in 1934; five brothers and one half-brother. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. C. H. (May) Skidmore, Elmira, N.Y., Mrs. James H. (Grace) Hill, Lumberport, W. Va., Mrs. I. E. (Edith) Lewark, Bridgeport, W. Va.; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law, Mrs.J. S. (Edna) Oldham, Ripley and Mrs. O. O. (Lilly) Oldham, Evans. Mr. Oldham was a member of the First Methodist Church and a fifty year member of Clarksburg Lodge No 155, AF & AM. Funeral services were conducted in Clarksburg by Dr. James P. Debardi, pastor of the First Methodist Church and interment was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Clarksburg Lodge No. 155, AF & AM conducted graveside rites.
