Information: Funeral services for O. P. Oldham, 85 year old resident of Ripley, were held from the Vail funeral home here Sunday afternoon with Rev. James H. Reed and Rev. Lejeune Lewis conducting the rites and the burial was in Pine Hill cemetery. Mr. Oldham died at a Charleston hospital on Thursday after a long illness. Born and reared on Parchment, he came to Ripley as a young man and launched a business career in the mercantile world which was destined to be successful. After his retirement a few years ago, he purchased a home on Sixth street in Ripley and returned here to live. Mr. Oldham was one of the founders of the O. J. Morrison department store in Ripley and had been active in the affairs of that establishment until a few years ago. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Herman Lodge 6 AF & AM at Clarksburg, the K of P lodge, and Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lenna McKown Oldham; one son, Walter of Charleston; three brothers, O. O. of Evans, W. T. and J. L. of Miami Springs, Fla.; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
