Information: Services were held last Saturday at the Chambers Funeral Home in Ravenswood for Jesse Ohse, 71, of Ravenswood Route 1, who died at his home on Dec. 16, after a long illness.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late James and Stella Sayre Ohse on Sept. 9, 1894.  He was a member of the Hemlock E.U.B. Church, American Legion Post 118 of Ravenswood and a Navy veteran of World War I.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Oda Archer Ohse of Ravenswood; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Pritchett of Chester, Mrs. Oletta Mercer of Lore City, Ohio and Mrs. Pearl Tallman of Ravenswood; one son, Jack Archer of Loogootee, Ind., and one foster daughter, Mrs. Patricia McConaha of Parkersburg; one brother, Howard Ohse, of Chicago, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Ella Goodell and Mrs. Mary Corui both of Lansing, Mich., Mrs. Ethel Swift, Macon, Mich., Mrs. Gladys Lawson and Mrs. Winona Wells both of Battle Creek, Mich., and twenty-two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Interment was in the Ravenswood Cemetery with the Rev. G. C. Weirick, pastor of the Ravenswood Lutheran Church officiating.  Mr. Ohse was formerly employed by the U.S. government on the repair fleet of the Ohio River and its tributaries for thirty-four years.  Mr. Ohse was a longtime resident of the county and was well known throughout the county.
