Information: JOHN O'BRIEN LAID TO REST Saturday afternoon, after services in the Southern Methodist Church by the pastor, the body of Assistant Cashier John F. O'Brien was borne to its last resting place in the old cemetery by Messrs. K. M. Clinton, H. S. Armstrong, B. F. Board, S. G. Starcher, H. B. Crow and O. D. Ripley, followed by bereaved relatives and many sorrowing friends, who mourned a young man of countless virtues who had to give up life when it seemed the fullest of promise.  his death was a most severe blow to the doting parents and fond wife, to whom sympathy is extended by all.   (from February 22, 1901 The Jackson Herald--Bank Teller John F. O'Brien has been near death's door for some days and we fear will have passed to the great beyond ere this reaches the reader.  Dr. Harrison of Cottageville was with Dr. Staats the attending physician for two or three days.  C. G. and H. L. O'Brien, brothers, and J. R. McMahon, brohter-in-law, arrived Tuesday.  Mr. O'Brien was a young man of good business ability, model morals and seemed to have bright prospects.
