  <p>Information: George O&#39;Brien, 60, of Spencer died Wednesday in Roane General Hospital following a long illness.  He was the father of George Edward O&#39;Brien of Millwood.  He was born in Spencer, a son of the late Boyd and Icie S. Hicks O&#39;Brien.  He was a Protestant, a retired service manager of the McIntosh Hardware, Spencer.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II.  He is survived by his wife, Levada O&#39;Brien; four other sons, John Wesley O&#39;Brien, Glenn Stephen O&#39;Brien, MIchael Ray O&#39;Brien and Jimmy Lee O&#39;Brien, all of Spencer; one brother, Pat O&#39;Brien of San Angelo, Tex. and 11 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two sons.  Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer with the Rev. H. G. Wayne officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Reedy.</p>
