Information: Howard C. Allen, 72, of Ripley, died Saturday at Charleston Area Medical Center, General Division, Charleston.  He was a son of the late Benjamin and Mabel Statts Allen.  He was a U. S. Air Force veteran of World War II and a contract worker.  He was a member of the UMW Local.  Surviving are one son, Dwaine Allen of Pomeroy OH; one daughter, Darlene Wheeler of South Charleston; and three grandchildren.  Services were held Tuesday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Orville Walker officiating.  Burial was in the Siniaville Cemetery, Statts Mill.
