Information: John S. Nutter, 76, formerly of Ravenswood, departed this life Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at his home in Apopka FL, after a brief illness. He was born March 10, 1926, in Carbondale WV, the son of the late Lonnie and Mamie Nutter. He served in the U. S. Navy before retiring as a brick mason from Kaiser Aluminum. He moved to central Florida in 1982. He is survived by his wife, June Nutter of Florida; sons, J. B. Nutter of Ravenswood and Eddie Nutter and wife Terry of Parkersburg; daughter, Sandra Fridley of Ravenswood; step-daughter, Sarah Fender of Oviedo FL; step-son, Jeff Hanshaw of Watchula FL; brothers, Fred Nutter of Evans and Jim Nutter of Ironton OH; sisters, Inez Kirk of Chattanooga TN and Mary Walker of Evans; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Kenneth, J. B., Bill, Jack, and Eddie. A private family service was held in Apopka FL on Saturday, April 27 at Loomis Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in Ravenswood on Saturday, May 11 at St. Matthew Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m.
