  <p>Information: Elwyn Gene ""Nick"" Nicholson, 67, of Ripley, died March 28, 1996, at Jackson General Hospital, after a long illness.  He was a native of Gaffney, S. C., a graduate of Clemson University and a Navy veteran. He was a member of Chamblee Lodge 444, Chamblee, GA, was retired from Ravenswood Aluminum/Kaiser Aluminum, and Lockheed Aircraft, Atlanta.  Surviving: wife, Jo Ellen Nicholson; son, Michael of Wilmington NC; daughter, Karen Ann Merrit of Wilmington; stepdaughters, Kathleen Brown Schallom of Cottageville and Teena Brown Robinson of Gaston, SC; parents, J. Don and Pearl Clark Nicholson; sisters, Janet N. Yancey of Austell, GA, Mabel Ann Nicholson of Atlanta; brothers, Doneal C. of Killeen, Texas, Bobby N. of Swainsboro, GA; six grandchildren.  Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday (today) at St. Johns Episcopal Church, Ripley.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to St. John Episcopal Church, Main Street, Ripley WV 25271.  Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston, is in charge of arrangements.</p>
