Information: Edward Jr., the 12 day old son of Ethel Nichols, of Ripley, died as the mother was carrying it along Court Street Thursday afternoon.  It was reported that the child had not been well and the mother was taking it to a physician when she discovered he was dead.  Other persons on the street were called by her when she made the discovery and later the child was taken to the Vail Mortuary where the body was prepared for burial.  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Crane cemetery with Rev. R. L. Mahoney in charge and burial was in the Crane cemetery.
