  <p>Information: Matthew Napolean Newman, 2, of Mount Alto, Jackson County, died August 21, 1998, in Cabell Huntington Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Ripley.  Surviving:  mother and stepfather, Antonia Dawn Rottgen and Brian Scott Gillispie of Mount Alto; father, Michael David Newman of Elbarton GA; paternal grandparents, Anita Newman of Elbarton, Elbert Rucker of Atlanta; maternal grandparents, Rhonda an Alaric Clark of Mount Alto, Richard Jr. and Tina Rottgen of Waxhaw NC; paternal great-grandparents, Betty Scarberry of Cottageville, Richard Jr. and Marilyn Rottgen of Letart; paternal great-great-grandfather, Ed Wymer of Winfield; maternal great-great-grandmother, Mildred Scarberry of Cottageville.  Service was held Monday, August 24, 1998 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Mark Price officiating.  Burial in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville.</p>
