Information: Guy “Daddy” Blackburn, 71, of McConnelsville, Ohio, died Sept. 22, 1987 in Bethesda Hospital following a brief illness.  He was born in Ava, Ohio, a son of the late Howard and Bessie Wilson Blackburn.  He had owned and operated Blackburn's Furniture Store, McConnelsville for 35 years and was a retired school bus driver.  He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4713, Malta, and the Morgan County Historical Society.  He is survived by his wife, Florence F. Crawford Blackburn; one son, Robert H. Blackburn of McConnelsville; his stepmother, Bertha O. Blackburn of McConnelsville; three stepsons, Roy C. Newberry and Ronald E. Newberry both of McConnelsville and Rodney L. Newberry of Ravenswood; one sister, Eloise Hall of Canton, Ohio; one granddaughter; 11 step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one sister, one brother and one step-grandson.  Services were Thursday at the Tatman Funeral Home, McConnelsville with Evangelist Harry Welch officiating.  Burial was in McConnelsville Cemetery with military rites.
