  <p>Information: John Earnest Nelson, 79 of Henry Street, Ravenswood died yesterday morning in Jackson General Hospital after a short illness.  He was born and reared in Jackson County and was a member of the Comet United Methodist Church.  He is retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways.  He is survived by his wife, Lura Doughty Nelson; one daughter, Lucille Maple of Martinsville, O.; two sons, Ernest of Sandyville and Charles of Ravenswood; two brothers, Charles of Canal Fulton, O. and Enos of Cheshire, O.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Straight-Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in the Ravenswood Cemetery.</p>
