Information: Mrs. Ada Myers, 66 year old resident of Evans, and the mother of Clarence F. Myers, Republican nominee for sheriff, died at her home there last Sunday of heart disease.  She had been in poor health for several months.  Last Saturday afternoon she was struck by a severe heart attack, but lived until Sunday.  The funeral services were held at the Evans Methodist Episcopal church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev.J. W. Idleman in charge and burial was in the Otterbein cemetery.  Janet Ada Myers, daughter of Thomas A. and Susan A. Withrow, was born in Kanawha County, August 18, 1869 and departed this life June 21, 1936, aged 66 years, 10 months and 3 days.  She is survived by her husband, Samuel M. Myers; two children, Clarence F. Myers of Cottageville and Mrs. Mona Stewart of Evans; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Smith of East Liverpool, Ohio and Mrs. Mary Bennett of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, T. S. Withrow of Aliquippi, Pa., W. M. Withrow of New Orleans, La., R. A. Withrow of Evans, and five grandchildren.  She was united in marrige to Samuel M. Myers on November 4, 1894 and to this bond was always happiness.  She was converted in early life and joined the Methodist church and lived a devoted Christian life until death.   [from the obit collection of Betty Kessel McIntyre]
