Information: Charles Haydon Murray, 80, of Cottageville WV, passed away February 25, 2012 at Ravenswood Care Center.  He was born October 18, 1931 in Ripley, the son of the late Jesse Oscar and Anna Mae (Hudson) Murray.  His brother, David Lorraine Murray; sisters, Lauretta Eileen Tucker and Ethel Lenora VanFossen; stepmother, Elah Roberta (Landfried) Murray, and stepsisters, Irene Gilkinson, Beulah Rose, and a stepbrother, Russell Murray, also preceded him in death.  He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, and member of the Jackson County Marine Corps League.  He was a retired pipe fitter from Kaiser Aluminum, a member of United Steelworkers Union, Local #5668.  He was owner and operator of Murray Auction Service, a member of Cottageville Lodge #54, AF & AM, and he attended the Cottageville United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed showing horses, operating equipment, and helping his neighbors.      Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Anna Louise (King) Murray; son, Rick (Cathy) Murray of Ravenswood; daughters, Patty (Dallas) Myers and Pam (J. T.) Hatcher, all of Cottageville; sister, Roberta Beckett of Hopkinsville KY; grandchildren, Justin Kuhl of Cottageville, Juli Hatcher and Jeremy (Whitney) Hatcher, all of Morgantown, Richelle Murray and Todd Murray, both of Ravenswood; and one great-grandchild, Jacob Murray of Ravenswood.  Graveside service with full military honors by the Jackson County Marine Corps League will be 11 am Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville, with the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre officiating.  Visitation will be from 5 pm until 8 pm Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans WV.  On line condolences may be sent to castofh@gmailcom.
